 Biography

Dr. V. M. Vasileva, having received her M.Sc. (Ag) in Agrarian University, Plovdiv in 1989, and Ph.D in Plant Science from Institute of Forage Crops, Pleven, Bulgaria, in 2005, is currently working as Associate Professor (Plant Science) (received 2010) at Institute of Forage Crops, Pleven, Bulgaria. She has extensively pursued research work on different aspects of plant science, especially forage crops, like nodulation in legumes, mineral and organic fertilization, water deficiency stress, mixtures. Handled 19 projects, leader of two of them, exclusively on PLANT SCIENCE (esp. forage crops).


Dr. Vasileva is credited with large of publications including 120 Research Papers (mainly in Foreign Journals), one monograph (LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing) in addition of biography appeared in one world famous biographical compilation.


Dr. Vasileva is a member of many Academic Societies as Bulgarian Association of Forage Production and Grassland, Union of the Scientists in Bulgaria, Union of Inventors of Bulgaria, Inter-Regional Co-operative Research and Development Network for Pastures and Fodder Crops (FAO/CIHEAM), European Society for Soil Conservation. Inducted as Fellow of Biotop Organic Waste Management, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.


Dr. Vasileva is Editor-in-Chief of Horizon Research Publishing (HRPUB), USA, Universal Journal of Agricultural Research; Guest Editor for a special issue on "Ethnobotany: A Living Science for Alleviating Human Suffering" for the Evidence-Based Complementary and alternative Medicine; Member of Editorial Advisory Board of Banat’s Journal of Biotechnology; Member of International Advisory Board of Journal of Genetic and Environmental Resources Conservation (JGERC) and Current Horticulture; representative of Journal of Genetic and Environmental Resources Conservation (JGERC) in Bulgaria; Member of Editorial Board of Global Journal of Environmental Science and Management, Journal of Plant Stress Physiology, Global Journal of Advanced Biological Sciences, Journal of Botanical Research & Applications, Journal of Global Innovations in Agricultural and Social Sciences, Global Journal of Botanical Science.


Dr. Vasileva has served as a foreign examiner to evaluate the dissertations submitted for the award of Ph.D. degrees from various Pakistani Universities.

Her Research interest includes Physiology and cultivation practices of forage crops, nodulation process in legumes, mineral and organic fertilization , water deficit stress , allelopathy in forage crops
