 Biography

Dr. Jiabing Fan previously worked as an assistant project scientist at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He obtained his PhD from Sun Yat-sen University, China in 2010. During his PhD, he has been a visiting graduate student in Bioengineering at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (2008-2009) and subsequently worked as a research assistant in Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the National University of Singapore (2009-2010). He completed his postdoctoral training at Harvard University and UCLA. He has a broad research background in stem cells biology/therapy and musculoskeletal tissue regeneration, and has diverse experiences in relevant research fields including medicine, tissue engineering, biomaterials and developmental biology. He has published over 27 peer-reviewed papers and has been invited as a guest editor and reviewer for several journals (Tissue Engineering, Bone, International Journal of Nanomedicine, Journal of Materials Chemistry B, et al).

Dr. Jiabing Fan Research interest includes stem cells biology/therapy; musculoskeletal tissue engineering; regenerative medicine; novel therapy for skeletal-related diseases.
