 Biography

Janardhan Mydam , MD, is a U.S. board-certified in pediatrics Neonatal perinatal medicine subspecialty. Dr.Mydam educational went to medical school in India, completed Pediatric training India and from NTR University Andhra Pradesh. Worked in NHS for 4 and 1/2 years in pediatrics and neonatology departments. He completed residency training in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Wayne State university Detroit followed by subspecialty fellowship training in Neonatal –perinatal Medicine at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County Chicago. Dr. Mydam is an attending physician at John H Stroger Hospital of Cook County. He had medical publications on Low birth weight among “Black Latina’s”, PPHN, PDA in VLBW Infants Retropharyngeal abscess, and had list of international and state level conference presentations abstracts, and posters at PAS every year since last 6 yrs. He teaches Neonatology and Pediatrics to medical students, Pediatric residents and Fellow physicians in Neonatology. One of his project on Nutrition among Pediatric population won Gold Medal in the State level Indian Academy of Pediatrics conferences. His areas of interest include Neonatal-Perinatal Public health: Racial Disparities and birth outcomes, PDA in VLBW infants, PPHN and Congenital Heart diseases.
