Dr. Brijmohan Singh Bhau is presently working as Head Biological Sciences & Technology Division of CSIR-Northeast Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat, Assam India. He is involved in the area of Plant Biotechnology in different capacities for last 20 years and published many research papers in scientific journals, book chapters, review and general articles. He is actively involved in the research and has many national and international projects undergoing in his laboratory. His area of research involves different aspects of biotechnology and use of plant & microbial resources to synthesise different types of nano particles and use them to control different diseases in plants. In addition to this his group is also undertaking plant phylosphere metagenomics and induction and study of molecular mechanism involved in inducing resistance using plant based products. Dr. Bhau’s team is also involved in studying molecular mechanism during plant microbe interaction. After completing his PhD from Jammu University, he did his post doctorate from Botany Department, Delhi and The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi. He joined CSIR-Northeast Institute of Science &Technology; he set up his group in the area of plant genomics. His work has been recognized by conferring him the Dr. YS Murthy Award by Indian Botanical Society. He has visited Bangladesh, Russia, China, Italy, Czech Republic and United Kingdom in context with his research work.
