Dr. Bingyun Li received his PhD from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2000. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedics, School of Medicine, West Virginia University. Dr. Li is a reviewer for more than 30 international journals, and he is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like the Journal of Bioengineering & Biomedical Science, Recent Patents on Nanotechnology, and World Journal of Orthopedics. Dr. Li has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters. He is a member of the Orthopedic Research Society, Society for Biomaterials, American Chemical Society, and Materials Research Society. Dr. Li has been an invited speaker, panelist, or co-chair for a variety of events related to nanomedicine, bone infection, and biomaterials. He has given more than 20 invited talks in national and international meetings and peer universities.
His research Interest include Open fracture-associated infection prevention, spinal infection prevention, rapid fracture/wound healing,Nanomedicine, nanoparticles, microcapsules, controlled/targeted drug delivery for orthopaedic, dental and cancer/tumor treatments,Engineering the immune system, Nanotechnology coatings and capsules.
