Sang-Wook Park did his Ph.D. research on ribosome-inactivating protein at Colorado State University. Later, he studied hormone signaling transductions in plant innate immunity with Dr. Daniel F. Klessig at Boyce Thompson Institute for Plant Research, and moved to Virginia Bioinformatics Institute as a senior research associate. Recently he has pointed as an assistant professor in the department of Entomology and Plant Pathology at Auburn University. His research focuses on understanding at the molecular, biochemical and cellular levels how plants sense and equilibrate constant environmental challenges. He is especially interested in plant hormones such as jasmonates, salicylates and their related molecules that mobilize intricate signaling networks attuning genomic, proteomic and metabolic circuitries in disease resistance and stress acclimation.
The genome-scale delineation of cellular regulators that relay hormone signaling, Hormone-responsive cellular redox homeostasis, The redox-dependent transmission of hormone-signaled gene expression, The therapeutic-properties and mechanisms of plant hormones.
