 Biography

Prof. Dr. Izzet YAVUZ is a lecturer, researcher and an educator Prof. Dr. for Pediatric Dentistry at the Dicle University Faculty of Dentistry in Diyarbakir, Turkey.

He is specialized on pediatric dentistry treatments, 3D Cone Beam Dental Volumetric Tomography, ectodermal dysplasia, the effect of magnetic field to the teeth, micro leakage, and trauma on dental roots.

He has more than 90 papers that have been published in international and national journals and presented in international and national meetings.

He is head of Ectodermal Dysplasia Group – Turkey ( http://www.ektodermaldisplazi.com/ ), this Group members working as a voluntarily for help to the people who has ectodermal dysplasia genetical disorders, and collect information for researchers who is interesting.

He has been worked as a head Doctor of the Dicle University Faculty of Dentistry, 10/December/2007 – 11/September/2009.

He is owner, Editor-in-Chief and General Director of the Journal of International Dental and Medical Research ( http://www.ektodermaldisplazi.com/journal.htm ).

He is Editor-in-Chief and General Director of the Dental Journal of Dicle (http://dishek.dicle.edu.tr/dergi/dergi.htm ) published 2 times per year.

He has been in Canada Toronto University, Faculty of Dentistry, Discipline of Paediatric Dentistry, as visitor professor between September 2002 – March 2003, for nine months. During this period involving to the observations to the undergraduate and graduate clinics also attend to the seminars and lectures, both undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition involved some research, and presented it as a poster at Toronto University Faculty of Dentistry’s annual research day on February 25, 2003.

He has gone COSTI Immigrant Services Corvetti Education Centre. Successfully completed the part-time Continuing Education Evening Program “Pre-Advanced Grammar in Conversation” January 6, 2003 to February 27, 2003.

He has been participated to the international scientific meetings has got a certificate from “Imaging Sciences International Education Department PA USA”, about Operations Training on the I-Cat Cone Beam 3d Dental Imaging System Date; 29 July 2008, In Netherlands: ED09 Conference also attend to the International Ectodermal Dysplasia Group Leaders Meeting as representative to the Ectodermal Dysplasia Group-Turkey, in Belgium for Workshop on the GC Operatory Product line at GC EUROPE, in Leuven, BELGIUM, between 4-5 May 2009.

He is currently giving Practices and theorical lecture, course, and seminar from 1999 till now.
