 Biography

Professor Adel Shatta was born at Ismailia, Egypt in 1959. I have a bachelor in Agricultural Sciences (Food Technology), with grade excellent with honor degree, 1981. Faculty of Agriculture, Suez Canal University. I finished the MSc. in 1987 entitled "Studies on Some Components of Henna and Their Use in Food Industry" and Ph.D. in 1992 entitled "Microbiological Studies on Some Egyptian Fruit Juices" from Suez Canal University with cooperation of Federal Research Center for Nutrition, Institute of Hygiene and Toxicology, Karlsruhe, Germany (Egyptian Research long-term Scholarship "Channel-system"). I'm a Professor of Food Technology in Fac. of Agric. Since 2006. Prof. Adel Shatta was a chief of Food Technology since 2011-2014. Now, I'm Unit Director of the follow-up of graduates, Fac. of Agriculture, Suez Canal Univ. I'm a member of the permanent scientific committee for Food Technology and Dairying for promotion of professors and Associate professors (the Egyptian Supreme Council of Higher Universities). A member of the Committee of the preparation of Special Program entitled "Food Safety", characterization and description. Also, member of Evaluation Committee of "Establishment of Internal Quality Assurance System", Food Technology and Home Economic Depts., Fac. of Agric., SCU, Ismailia, Egypt (from 2004 till Now). Prof. Adel Shatta have serve as a member on several scientific Editorial Board. I have published many scientific articles in scientific Journals. Also, I have been published many books (6 in Arabic and 2 in English).
