Graduated by M.B.B.,Ch (1993), Master Degree of Ophthalmology, Zagazig University (1998), MD of Ophthalmology, Zagazig University (2005). Supervisor of Corneal infection Unit, Ophthalmology Department Zagazig University. Reviewer in 4 international ophthalmic journals. Member of the editorial team of Open Journal of Ophthalmology.
His research interest includes corneal infection and resistant corneal ulcer which are considered major problems facing ophthalmologists, especially Fungal keratitis that is one of the challenging type of corneal infections in many countries. Also many researches in medical retina including diabetic retinopathy and its biomarkers as (Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), Apelin and C-Reactive protein (CRP) ) in blood and aqueous humour in a trial for early detection and hence early treatment of such serious ocular conditions and regular laboratory monitoring in addition to the clinical follow up. Another researches about pterygium surgery and prevention of recurrence. Also treatment by hyposenstization in resistant cases of vernal keratoconjunctivitis achieved the chances in some researches.
