Biography
Ana Miguel has completed her M.D. in 2007 from Faculty of Medicine of Oporto University, Portugal. She completed her ophthalmology residency in Central University Hospital of Coimbra, Portugal. She obtained the title of FEBO in 2013 (Fellow of European Board of Ophthalmology). She currently works as an ophthalmologist at Polyclinique de la Baie, Avranches, France. Her Ph.D. research thesis was based on the detection of adverse drug reactions: validation of methodologies and application in Ophthalmology (completed at the age of 30). She has published 25 papers in different scientific journals (namely Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety, Eye journal, European Journal of Ophthalmology, Journal Français d'Ophtalmologie, Journal of Ocular Diseases and Therapeutics). She is the reviewer of 7 international journals and an editorial board member of: World Journal of Meta-analysis, Journal of Ocular Diseases and Therapeutics, Clinical Case Reports Journal and Ophthalmology and Vision Science.
