 Biography

Dr. Harpreet Singh is a graduate of Govt. Dental College & Hospital, Patiala (Punjab) and did his MDS in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics from Govt. Dental College & Hospital, Nagpur (Maharashtra) in 2006. He was honoured with eight gold medals and six silver medals for holding first and second position in various subjects during graduation. His constant quest for knowledge and research has got him a ‘Patent from Govt. of India for inventing a new instrument “A communication system between dentist and patient” in field of dentistry; patent no. 234291’. He has done his MBA in Hospital and Health administration. He has received advanced training on use of ‘Dental Operating Microscope’ in Endodontics (University of British Columbia). Also, he has received his formal training on placement of ‘Dental Implants’ by Nobel Biocare and advanced training programme on use of Direct Composite Laminates in collaboration with World institute of dental esthetics, USA”. He has pursued his teacher training programme on ‘Advanced Endodontics’ under the guidance of Dr. Phillip Guettier (USA). To his credit are more than 40 National and International Publications. He is the Associate Editor of Indian Journal of Dentistry (PubMed) and is on the editorial and review board of several national and international journals. He is the author of text books titled ‘Essentials of Preclinical Conservative Dentistry’ (Wolter Kluwer Health) and ‘Innovative management of anxious dental patients’(Lambart Academic Publishing). For his advanced knowledge in the field of Endodontics he has been called for delivering lectures on his specialty oriented topics in more than 50 National and International level conferences so far. His areas of special interest and research are Direct composite laminates, management of anxious patients visiting the dental office; evaluation and application of Modified Dental Anxiety Scale in India; microbiological analysis of root canal system; antimicrobial efficacy of various intra-canal medicaments available; advanced endodontics including the use of Dental Operating Microscope. Currently, he is working as Professor in Dept. of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Gian Sagar Dental College & Hospital, Patiala and is running his specialty oriented clinical practice under the name of “Gentle Dental Care”, Patiala since last Ten years.
