Dr. Aly El Sheikha,earned BSc in (Food & Dairy Sciences, 2009), MSc in (Food Science & Technology, 2004) from Minufiya University, Egypt. My PhD in "Biotechnology, Microbiology", University Montpellier 2 “Sciences and Technology of Languedocâ€, France, 2010. All degrees equivalent to their counterparts in Canada. 15-year experience in tertiary education and 11-year experience as researcher and manager in several European projects (EDES, FSP 2006-43, Innovkar, Trace, HEEPF). Also, to Canadian project funded by (NSERC-CRD). 2 post-docs; first at Center for International cooperation in Agronomic Research for Development, France; second at Halal Products Research Institute, Malaysia. I created innovative techniques used for implementing new traceability system by giving unique genetic fingerprint and opened up new avenues to understand: fungi producing mycotoxins and dynamics of microbial populations during product processing. I was responsible for coordinating the writing of training manuals on traceability of animals and its products. Leadership in develop new tool to determine the origin of plants and its products. Creating new tracing tool of insect pests. Worked as assistant 2000-2004, assistant lecturer 2004-2012 and lecturer in 2012, Minufiya University, Egypt. Recently, I worked as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Science, Al-Baha University, Saudi Arabia 2013-2015. Currently, I attached as a researcher to Canadian project funded by (NSERC-CRD), which targeted to innovate methods for rapid and accurate diagnosis of fungal pathogens as one of the biggest threats to human health. Awarded many international prizes; three of them as the first prize. Granted the trophy of the Agriculture Faculty, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. Published more than 60 publications (books, chapters, articles) in International Reviews. Presented papers in over 12 international conferences. Member of Executive Committee of Asia Pacific Institute of Food Professionals, member of International Advisory Committee of Asian Food Safety & Security Association, Food Biology Research Foundation, member in Global Food Safety Community (Collab4Safety EU Project), French Society of Ecology, Kastler Foundation, France and Egyptian Society of Food Science and Technology.
