The aim is to provide taxonomical, biological, ecological and distributional data for all species described from deep-water (especially in marine invertebrate) chemosynthetic ecosystems, as well as information on specific samples and collections. I managed collections of marine invertebrates analyzed by our institute for biomedical properties and maintained associated databases. The transfer of knowledge from science to industry, regulators and the public is not always easy, and it has been recognised that more efforts are needed to encourage dialogue and for cutting edge blue skies research to be used to drive policy, legislation and best practice. Fisheries stock assessment of (FiSAT software) finfishes and shellfishes and Biodiversity assessment of (Primer v 6 software) and taxonomy of crustaceans viz., prawn, shrimp, spiny lobster, squat lobster and crab.
