 Biography

Prof. Ozcan graduated with honors in 1993 from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine as a medical doctor and started to Cukurova University Facuty of Medicine, Ophthalmology department for his specialization training. In 1999 he completed his specialization and became a specialist in ophthalmology. After his specialization, he made researches in Giessen University Eye Clinic, Germany in 2000. He returned to Cukurova University Medical Faculty in 2001 after his ongoing working, he became Associate Professor in 2005 and Professor in 2011. He is a member of International AAO, ASCRS, ESCRS, EGS and also active member of the Executive Board of the Turkish Ophthalmology Society of Cataract and Refractive Unit, Glaucoma Unit. He has been selected as an Editorial Board member of International Journal of Ophthalmology & Eye Science (IJOES) since 2014.

He received International Educational Award by American Academy of Ophthalmology in 2014. His main interests include cataract–refractive surgery and glaucoma with comprehensive experience in the anterior segment diseases, surgeries and ocular adnexa of the eye. Dr Ozcan continues to conduct clinical research and particularly enjoys being involved in teaching. He has published many peer-reviewed articles and text book chapters. Reviewer for national and international journals in the field of ophthalmology. Prof. Ozcan made many presentations at national and international conferences, scientific sessions.
