Dr.Waheed Asghar pharmaceutical professional with background in pharmacokinetics, clinical pharmacology and pharmacy practice. He is 13 years of professional experience working in research and development, pharmaceutical industry as well as teaching in academic institutes. He's research focus on translational and clinical aspect of biomedical research whereas research interests includes clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and pharmacoepidemiology. Much of he's effort is to assimilate, interpret and translate the bench research into meaningful clinical outcomes. Through out my career he received several grants and funding from various professional organization, including Canadian institute of health research (CIHR), and Canadian Society of Pharmaceutical Scientists (CSPS). He is an independently designed and conducted pharmacokinetic studies, preclinical/early clinical trials and various multidisciplinary research projects. He is an expertise in analytical method development, therapeutic drug monitoring, plasma profiling and investigation of biomarkers in variety of animal and human models. he is well versed in qualitative research he was published and contributed in meta-analysis, clinical trials, observational studies, and population surveys. He is worked on various statistical software including Sigma Plot, SAS, SPSS, STATA, Nvivo and Review Manager. He was enjoy working in a competitive environment and he is a fast leaner. He take many responsibilities seriously and work efficiently individually as well as in a team. He is a self-motivated, punctual, dependable personality he can offer best in R&D, teaching within an academic or industrial scope. As a teacher, he enjoy planning courses and teaching courses in variety of areas, including clinical pharmacology, statistical methods for behavioral research, pharmacotherapy clinical pharmacy. He want to set an exemplary career in academics and he believe he has the necessary qualifications and right set of skills to fulfill this goal.
