Prof. Dr. Daniel Ferreira Moreira Lobato is a physical therapist with special interest in biomechanics of musculoskeletal injuries and orthopedic and sports physical therapy. He received his bachelor degree in 2002 from Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCar) Sao Carlos – Sao Paulo – Brazil. He also obtained a Master Science (2007) and Doctor Science (2012) in Physical Therapy also from UFSCar. He is currently Adjunct Professor III of the Physical Therapy graduate course of the Federal University of Triangulo Mineiro (UFTM) – Uberaba – Minas Gerais - Brazil, and permanent professor of the Biosciences Applied to Health Post-graduation Program from the Federal University of Alfenas – Alfenas - Minas Gerais - Brazil. He recently developed a postdoctoral internship with the Physical Education Post-graduation Program of UFTM. He has experience in Orthopedic, Traumatological and Sports Physical Therapy.
His research interest includes kinesiology and biomechanics, sports and orthopedic physical therapy, virtual rehabilitation and assistive technology. Dr. Lobato is actively involved in research to understanding and managing risk factors to lower limb injuries, specially related to knee joint.
