Biography
Dr Shafees Koya has done M.D.S in orthodontics from Yenepoya University, Karnataka on April 2013 and is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Orthodontics, Yenepoya Dental College, Karnataka. He has topped in MDS examinations (2013) of Orthodontics, Yenepoya University, Karnataka and has received best poster award in research category for “Rosid leveller: A new device to evaluate the spatial orientation of dentofacial traits†in 15th IOS Post Graduate students convention, Manali,2011. He also received 2nd Prize in E poster presentation for ‘Assessment of airway changes after Anterior Maxillary Distraction in cleft patients - A CBCT Study’ in Yen Conclave- A congress on 3D craniofacial imaging oct 2016.

Shafees Koya Research interest includes Cleft Orthodontics; Master Thesis on “Presurgical Nasoalveolar Molding in Infants With Cleftâ€; Library Dissertation on “Naso Alveolar Moldingâ€; Developed Yen coding system: This system explains the site of a micro implant placed by an orthodontist;Developed Yen coding implant seal.(To Patent)
