Dr. Manish Kumar is working as Assistant Professor in Amity institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Gwalior. He is actively engaged in teaching and research. He is doctorate in Microbiology from RD University, Jabalpur. He has done his Masters in Microbiology from Banaras Hindu University. He has a research experience as SRF (Senior research fellow) and RA (Research Associate) for more than 5 years in ICAR-NBAIM during his doctoral research. He also qualified ICAR-NET in agricultural microbiology conducted by ASRB. He has about one year research experience in CSIR-NBRI laboratory also in the field of plant-microbe interaction. He has expertise in the field of Microbial ecology, microbial diversity, genomics and metagenomics. He has credited about 20 research articles, reviewes along with book chapters of National and International repute.
He has availed international travel grants from DST and DBT in the year 2010 and 2011 to present papers in International conferences at Braunschweig (Soil metagenomics 2010) and Jena (MiCom 2011), Germany respectively. He guided two PG students for their dissertation. He also delivered two invited lectures in DBT builder national workshop at Barkatullah University in year 2016. He is engaged as editor and reviewers of many reputed scopus and SCI indexed journals. He is life member of Association of microbiologists of India (AMI), life member of Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA). He is also a member of ‘Biotech research society of India (BRSI)’. He is a recipient of “BRICPL-EMERGING SCIENTIST AWARD-2017†during ICAABT-2017. He served as an associate editor in International conference Int-BIONANO-2016 at Amity University. He also served as member of organizing secretaries in national workshop and national seminar held at Amity University Gwalior.
