 Biography

Dr. Renu K Pokharna is an Neurologist trained in India, with post-graduation with residency in internal medicine and Neurology. After Migrating to the USA she did her Neurology residency, Fellowship in Multiple sclerosis, and clinical Neurophysiology. She have six Board certifications through ABPN, ABEM, & PTCNY. They include Neurology and Psychiatry; Clinical Neurophysiology, neuromuscular medicine, EMG/NCV; multiple sclerosis: Neuromyelitis Optica and other Demyelinating disorders. Currently Renu K Pokharna is an Assistant professor at Palmetto health – University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC. I She have been practicing in various institutions, having had experience in both private practice at Academic institutions, as well as in Community based hospitals. She has an interest is in Research, as well as teachings, and grand Round presentations. She had several Manuscripts on her name. Currently they are a center for research in Multiple sclerosis in Esteem study. She and her team conducting research on Vitamin D & prevention of Multiple sclerosis relapse. Renu K Pokharna Presentation on paper is on August 16, 2017 and they will be presenting article to prestigious Journals like Multiple Sclerosis. She was Judge for Poster Session for CMSC 2016. Renu K Pokharna was abstract Reviewer for CMSC 2016. They will soon be starting research multi-center through Vanderbilt on Multiple sclerosis. She have been working in the field of Medicine for more than 35 years. Renu K Pokharna love to do research and she aware that it is the research that makes it possible for a change for the betterment of Society, and humanity at large.
