Muzafar Ahmad Rather did M.sc in Biochemistry from Jamia Hamdard (Hamdard University), New Delhi, India. Mr. Rather gained his M.Phil in the field of nanotechnology (in which he focused to develop the nanoformulation of known antituberculosis drugs using the physiological polymer/s) from the University of Kashmir, Srinagar India. He finished his Ph.D from Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Srinagar, India. His research interests are focused on the search for new TB drugs from the sources which include but are not limited to natural, synthetic and semisynthetic origins. The core focus is on new chemical entities for TB drug development.
Mr. Rather has over 10 years of working experience in the field of microbiology (infectious pathogens). He has published many research papers in peer reviewed journals. He has participated and presented research papers in several national and international conferences. Mr. Rather has been included in the editorial board member of several journals of high repute. Mr. Rather is the regular reviewer of several international journals of high standard.
His research interests are chemotherapy, drug development and drug resistance in bacteria, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and nanoformulation of antibiotics.
