 Biography

I have PhD agronomy (2001), MSc (1991) and BSc (1988). Currently Coordinating Head and direct the affairs of the National Horticultural Research Institute (NIHORT) Research, Hortibusiness and Consultancy Services (Ventures). Have over 18years management experience in local, regional and international Horticultural research, Agribusiness and Agricultural Extension & Outreach. Have extensive administrative experience as lead practitioner, working closely with the NIHORT senior management, local and international technical partners to roll out and manage agricultural production projects and programs. I have contributed modestly to the science of horticulture, agronomy, nutrition, agribusiness, agricultural programs and projects in Nigeria and abroad through research, resources management, staff administration, extension, project execution, implementation, assessment, reporting, socio-political, economic, agro community development and on-the-job training activities.

My research had resulted in over 105 scientific publication reprints of which had been requested for by colleagues all around the world and by libraries in advanced countries. My activities had also resulted in the development of appropriate agricultural production, processing and utilization technologies for farmers and other stakeholders; reviewer/editor of many journals; chaired many conference sessions, invited/appointed as Group Leader Scientist, and who is who in Science honor and certified; certified for relevant professional courses attendance and participation, reported in media for community development projects; etc. These are all indicated in the attached documents addendum/appendix enclosures. I am a strong believer in divine providence, hard work, good quality jobs, self-respects, personal integrity, peaceful resolution of conflicts and excellent leadership by example emulated from my bosses. I am looking forward to years of more useful service to global community especially in sub Saharan Africa agriculture. I am sure I have the potentials to attain greater heights and attributes to motivate professional colleagues and sub-ordinates to do the same.
