Since March 2013 Professor at Fats and Oils Department, Food Industries and Nutrition Division, National Research Centre (NRC), Egypt. He has joined NRC in 1987 after graduation from Biochemistry/Chemistry Dept., Faculty of Science, Ain-Shams University at 1982. He acquired Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Chemistry of Fats and Oils, Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, 2000 (through a mission for 2 years 7/6/ 1997– 30/8/1999 To Institute of Food Science, Hanover, Germany).
His spot of research interest is Chemistry and Technology of Fats, Oils and Antioxidants and their application in emulsions and nano-emulsions. He published more than 30 research papers in high impact valued international and national journals in the same fields. He, also, supervised one Msc and two PhD thesis in Ain-Shams and Al-Azhar Universities.
Dr. Said has given many training courses (e.g. Gas Liquid Chromatography, High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Good Laboratory Practice,...etc.) for students in Food and Nutrition field. He is a member of The Board of Egyptian Sciety of Chemistry and a member of Food Industries Society as well as many others. He shared in organizing three International Conferences in Chemistry and Two workshops in Food Industries under the umbrella of Egyptian Chemical Society and National Research Centre, Cairo, Egypt.
His Research interests are Food Science, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry and Surface Chemistry.
