Biography
Dr. Hogue is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon with special interests in spine deformity and hip preservation surgery. In addition to spine and hip disease, he treats the full gamut of pediatric orthopaedic injuries and maladies. Dr. Hogue’s medical training began right here in San Antonio, Texas at the University of Texas Health Science Center. From San Antonio, he traveled north on I-35 and completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. While in Dallas, Dr. Hogue received training in pediatric orthopaedics at the world-renowned Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. During his residency Dr. Hogue was named the Chief Resident over the entire orthopaedic program, and was awarded with the W. Brandon Carrel distinguished physician award for outstanding patient care. Dr. Hogue then moved to Boston, MA and continued his education as a pediatric orthopaedic and spinal deformity fellow at the Harvard University-Children’s Hospital of Boston.
Research Interest
Dr. Hogue is actively involved in research for the treatment of scoliosis and other pediatric orthopaedic problems. He has authored scientific papers and book chapters on these topics. Dr. Hogue’s research has been presented at multiple national and international meetings.
