Maria Packiam has received his Ph.D. in the University of Madras during the period of 2004 – 2007 and the post-doctoral research on Bioinformatics at Loyola University of Chicago, USA in 2014-2015. He has a patent for a newly developed phytopesticide known as PONNEEM an ecofriendly biopesticide. He has been a highly resourceful person for giving environmental awareness programme on sustainable agriculture and Integrated Pest Management for the self-help groups, thousands of Indian farmers and students environmental movement. He has published 35 research papers in various national and international journals. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Advanced Zoology and Biotechnology at Loyola College, Chennai, India and actively involving as Deputy Director and Research Guide for Ph.D. Students at Entomology Research Institute, Loyola College, Chennai, India.
