Mosaad Sayed Mohamed Abd-Alla is currently an Emeritus Professor of Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Helwan University. Born 17/2/1951, Cairo, Egypt. He graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University in 1974 (very good with honour) and appointed as instructor of organic chemistry in the department of organic chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. He had M. Pharm. Sci. (organic chemistry), 1980 and phD pharm. Sci. (organic chemistry), 1983, faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. He worked assistant lecturer (1980-1983) and lecturer of organic chemistry (1983-1988) in the department of organic chemistry faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. In 1984-1985 he had a post-doctoral research fellowship in the department of medicinal chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Minnesota University, Minnesota, USA. In 1988, he travelled to Japan to attend a training program (Jeol Company) on MNR Spectroscopy. He had promoted to Assistant Professor in the department of organic chemistry faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. In 1996 he had become a full Professor in the same department. In 1996, he moved to the Faculty of Pharmacy, Helwan University to be the head of the department of pharmaceutical organic chemistry and Vice-Dean for Graduate Studies and Researches. In 2005-2011 he appointed Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, Helwan University. He worked since 1976 to the date in teaching and conducting researches in the field of organic, pharmaceutical, and medicinal chemistry which is the field of his interest. His contribution in the chemistry researches involves more than 75 publications in international journals in the field of organic pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry in addition to more than 30 master and phD thesis. As a peer reviewer he refereed more than 500 organic and medicinal chemistry articles.
