Jie Tang received her BS and PhD from the West China School of Pharmacy, Sichuan University (China). Her major is Pharmaceutical Science. Now She is a postdoctoral fellow at the College of Pharmacy, University of Michigan. Her research interests focus on the development of novel nano-/micro- drug delivery systems; specifically including the development of lipid-based nanoparticles (like the surface-modified multifunctional liposomes and synthetic high-density lipoproteins), and their therapeutic applications in cancer and atherosclerosis, and the development of lactic and glycolic acids (PLGA) microspheres and their mechanism of control release.
