Job Description Mr. Muhammad Usman, Former Director General of Agricultural Research System, Govt. of Pakistan who retired from service after a spotless career of about 35 years (1974-2009) with senior level experience work on energy and agriculture particularly integrated agricultural industries like livestock and dairy development, aquaculture and fishery, apiculture and poultry industries, animal and poultry feed, bioenergy, renewable energy, energy efficiency and clean technology on a sustainable way.  Basically, Mr. Usman is an agricultural scientist, working as plant breeder, released several varieties, has 60 publications and always presented research papers on energy and agriculture in the international conferences around the world like Geneva-Switzerland. He is also working on the sustainable agricultural production system, fruits and vegetable, seed science, plant science, food science and nutrition, landscaping as per training received on the improvement and advance breeding methodology of food and feed legumes from an International Center for Agricultural Research in the dry areas (ICARDA) from March – June 1990 at Aleppo-Syria as well as in Pakistan during my stay in the department.  During the service, Mr. Usman was responsible for Management, Monitoring, Evaluation, Planning of project, financial activities and the research work conducted in Pakistan as per training obtained from the University of Queensland-Australia during February 1993.  Mr Usman performed as agricultural specialist, Narcotics Affairs Unit, Embassy of USA, Islamabad, with the aim to provide substitute cash crops like canola, soybean, sunflower, peanut, cereal crops, fruits and vegetable, apiculture and poultry to replace poppy and cannabis cultivation in Federal Administered Tribal Area (FATA) during 1987-1989.  After retirement in 2009, Mr. Usman established the following companies in Malaysia and Pakistan. ï¶ â€œPROMINENT AGROBASED INDUSTRIES SDN BHD†in Malaysia and working as Managing Director with primary object to supervise all the activities of the company, particularly Integrated Agricultural Project like livestock and dairy development, fruits and vegetable, palm oil, aquaculture and fishery etc. ï¶ â€œAGROBASED INDUSTRY AND CONSULTANCY SDN. BHD.†in Malaysia and working as Managing Director and consultant with the aims to provide the advisory, technical and consultancy services to the farmers and other organizations related to integrated agricultural industries, apiculture and poultry, livestock and dairy deployment, animal and poultry feeds etc. ï¶ â€œFOUNDATION FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT†in Pakistan and working as Chairman Board of Directors with the primary object to work for rural development through improvement in agriculture, health care indicators, education and particularly rehabilitation in the affected areas of the country.  Education:  B.Sc. Hons Agriculture in 1973,  M.Sc Agriculture in 1978  M.Sc Agriculture (Hons) with specializations of Agricultural Chemistry from University of Peshawar in 1981  Bachelor Degree in Law from University of Karachi-Pakistan in 1992.
