 Biography

Myself Dr.Gulzar Ahmad Nayik, Currently working as Assistant Professor (A/A), Department of Food Science & Technology, Govt. Degree College, Shopian, J&K. I completed my Masters Degree in Food Technology from IUST, Awantipora, J&K and PhD from SLIET, Punjab. I have published more than 38 research/review articles and 10 book chapters. In have attended 13 International/ National/conferences, seminars and workshops within and outside India. I am serving as Editor in Food Biology, Maternal & Pediatric Nutrition, Nutrition & Energy Balance, Associate Editor in International Journal of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences and MOJ Food Processing & Technology while I also serve as Assistant Editor in Journal of Post Harvest Technology and Food and Nutrition Journal. I do serve as Editorial Board Member of more than 25 International Journals. I am Potential Peer Reviewer of reputed International Journals related to Food Science and Technology that belong to popular publishing house viz. Elsevier, Taylor-Francis, Wiley, Springer etc. I have been a member of various associations like WASET, AFSTI and Asian Council of Science editors. I am the recipient of “BEST PAPER AWARD” in 2nd International conference on Food Properties (ICFP-2016), held at Bangkok, Thailand, Recipient of International Travel Grant from Department of Science and Technology (India), Recipient of Certificates from Elsevier and Wiley Online for Reviewer Recognition and Recipient of Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF-2013-14) from University Grant Commission, New Delhi, India during Ph.D program. I was shortlisted twice for INSPIRE-Faculty Award 2017 and 2018 from Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi. Recently I was nominated for India’s Prestigious National Award (INSA Medal for Young Scientists-2019).

His Research Interest Includes Antioxidants; Honey; Food Chemistry; Cereal technology
